LOCAL HISTORY
From the 1932 Justin Tigers to the 2024 Northwest Texans
As the 2024 Justin Northwest football team celebrates its sixth straight year in the playoffs, it's a great time to reflect on the school’s early football history. Back in 1932, the Justin Tigers, led by Coach Noel Wilson, finished with a solid 4-2 record. The following year, the 1933 team had one of the best records in school history at 8-1. These were two of only three seasons the Tigers finished above .500.
The Justin Tigers football program ran from 1925 to 1949, before transitioning to Justin Northwest Texans. The success of the early teams, like the 1932 and 1933 squads, laid the foundation for the strong football tradition that continues today. The 2024 playoff run is a testament to the legacy that started with those first teams nearly a century ago.
